Pranayam and Meditation

According to the Sanskrit language, “Prana” resembles life and “Yama” is control. Hence, Pranayama is the "extension of breath or the life force." It is popularly known as ‘The Yoga of breathing'. It is a spiritual technique of achieving concentration through breath inhalation and exhalation exercises. Pranayama helps in breath regulation. It is a central component of Yoga. Pranayama involves various breathing exercises carried out in specific patterns. The follower has to purposely inhale, exhale, and hold their breath in a particular sequence.
